This is an on going project of a 1977 TR7
our goal is to do several up grades to
the handling and engine performance


First day home notice years of dirt on car

Basic stuff done to get car running

New wheels & tires also rear suspension done



The project started last Oct. 2009 the car had been sitting for 25 years
if you are wondering what a quarter century can do to a car
let me start with a list

1. Repair 7 holes in gas tank & seal
2. Replace gas tank pick up & hose
3. Replace brake shoes & slave cylinders flush out brake fluid
4. Replace 4 tires
5. Check wires & replace new bulbs
6. Replaced distributor & coil also 4 new plugs
7. Replace SU carbs with ones from Ebay
8. Take Ebay carbs back off motor and rebuild
9. Flush all fluids Oil, Anti Freeze
10. Upgrade to spin on oil filter ( had to turn down adapter on lath to fit )
11. New Battery, battery cables & cut off placed on Neg. terminal
12. New fan belt and fan clutch also hoses, thermostat, & gauge pickup unit
13. New fuel pump & filter, fuel line
14. New head lights H4 and wire harness upgrade with additional ground wire
15. Replaced wiper blades
16. Replaced mirror left side
17. Replaced window regulator left side, & handles both sides
18. Replace door speakers
19. Replaced trunk lock

Next went out for a test ride, the TR ran well but handled a bit like a boat
so this is where part two starts I need to put the sports back into the once proud
and misunderstood TR7 So the first upgrade was to change out the wheels and tires
from 13" to 15" size 195/50 R15 82H
used adaptors for 4x100 wheels
These wheels sit about 1 " lower then the 13"wheels did & have no problem
with fender clearance
